Ending for Addams Family Values on SNES. This should've been a Fester's Quest game, it felt alot like the NES one. And no your sound card isn't broken, there's barely any music in this ending.

I just played this game for my first time and I have to say that without a walkthrough, I never would of beaten this monstrosity. It's non-linear which can be a good thing or a bad thing, in this games case, it's a bad thing. Most clues that are given are very vague about where to go and the world is insanely massive, with alot of areas that aren't even necessary to visit. Those meaningless areas are just there to waste time.

  • Every time I see someone ripping into this game, what annoys me the most is they don't rip into it. They talk about how the clues are vague, but never give an example. They talk about unnecessary areas, but never say where they are (most of the areas are pretty vital).

Most of all nobody ever mentions the true technical problems with the game.

1.-If you die once, it's game over

    2.-There's mega slowdown

    3.-The weapons are useless

4.-There's no way to save unless you already beat 2/3s of the game.

  • and no one ever brings up that area in the game that basically has an endless amount of screens and you can get lost forever lol.

  • The ending credits roll it seems is not fully emulated. I beat this game on the system and I saw all the credit names.

  • Well......that really sucks. I had a feeling something wasn't right about that.

  • This game could've been great, but it suffers from so much. An obvious cash-in on the success of Link to the Past with unforgivable difficulty. Everything is so cryptic--you never know exactly where to go or what to do and you feel like a rat in a maze. This game has a very depressing feel about it too, although it's hard to describe exactly why. I have to admit, the music for this game is pretty awesome though.

  • @cuccooverlord

I never managed to get inside the mansion through haha.

Well the game is simple great to play in the real console, masterpiece!

  • @guitarspectre I got to the mansion sadly I was stuck there with the library puzzle.

  • Tip: if you want to finish this game easier, use a gamegenie code that allows you to carry infinite cookies. Another cool game genie code is the one that allows you to access the debug menu. Kinda cool, with that one and the "pass through walls code" I managed to get to the morgue, the place where it snows and there are like giant ice sculptures there, among other places.

  • From 1:00-2:04, it looks like Wednesday and Pugsley didn't care that Fester saved Pubert since they never said a word to Fester to thank him. (I guess the reason they didn't thank Fester was because, they probably hated Pubert since on the movie they were jealous of Pubert a lot where they tried to kill him).

  • I remember the first time time I defeated those last three bosses on this game, I first walked around the room because I wasn't sure if there was something in the room I had to collect then once I saw that there was nothing to collect I was hoping one Addams Family member would be there to give the next clue on where to go but, I was happy that the game ended. Although, I did get nervous once Debbie walked up to me because I thought she would hurt me since I had only one bit of energy left.

  • I agree. It took me months after months to find out the right places I was supposed to go, when Morticia, Gomez, Granny, Wednesday, Pugsley, Lurch, and Thing didn't give any clues saying once you give the black rose to this plant, go to the greenhouse, and once you feed plant food to these plants, go see and help Pweep find his voice, etc.

  • I agree. It was strange that there were those three bad guys you had to fight in a row especially when your energy doesn't fill back up after defeating one boss. (I think the dragon cookies helped too which were the cookies that made Fester blow out fireballs, and the crumble cookies were good too that made an earthquake whenever Fester ate one).

  • I wondered that too. I think it's probably a trick from the spider that before he dies he gets rid of it from himself making you think that it will be a good weapon for yourself. Also, before you are confronted by the last three bosses in the game, you see the spider in spirit saying that he's going to help you by telling you to take an egg he's leaving for you but, the egg just hurts you instead. So maybe the red potion and the egg are just tricks so that you will die a lot faster.

  • Haha pretty sure noone ever finished this game in the original console... its fucking real hard and requires lot of patience and dedication in hours i would say so i cant trust this guy made it there
