This isn't 'your' music. Unless of course you're part of the band in which case you agreed to use the track as well as get paid a hefty sum for it's use. You obviously despise small bands going commercial, but sometimes if they didn't they'd be back waiting tables between gigs. This is one of the new income sources for small bands since they make nothing off selling their music...to people like you.

@eversoul1978 Actually they do sell their music. I have this CD. I don't think they'd choose a band that made no music. I understand what they mean by mainstreaming their music. I kinda feel that way about indie music too. I freaked when i heard a Sleigh Bells song on a commercial. No reason for you to get all technical.

@peacemusic96 Apologies for coming off 'all technical'. I'm part of the team that made the commercial. As a music lover, all we can hope for is to get cool bands on our spots and in the process, point the spotlight in the right direction. It's a fine line between bands selling out, but personally, I'd rather hear cool music on commercials than crap. And you'd be surprised how many bands say 'no' when we approach them for a commercial. Ultimately, it's up to the bands. We just cross our fingers.
