Hm, I guess that's how you interpreted that quote. The majority of fans have always construed that as implying that she had been reborn a baby. *shrugs* I guess we'll never know for sure then.

Having a mother claim that she's a miracle because she couldn't get pregnant doesn't necessarily show how Anna came to be in that body. After all, people are born vessels. It's a destiny thing, so while it is an interesting point, I don't think it proves something either way. The way I understood it from that episode, the angels gave up because Dean didn't say yes and so they just backed off and let it happen so they could wait and rebuild however they wanted.

Anna did not enter a vessel, she was reborn as a human baby:
"My mother, Amy, couldn't get pregnant. Always called me her little miracle. She had no idea how right she was." - 4x10, "Heaven and Hell"
I think if the angels disappeared like Castiel said they did in 5x04 "The End", then yes, Castiel would eventually become mortal just by waiting. But if that future doesn't come to pass, I think the only way for him to become fully human is if he ripped out his grace and fell.

Not quite. Anna was a fallen angel, if I'm remembering the episode correctly, Castiel turned mortal after awhile. He was already cut off from Heaven. Plus, even if I am wrong about that, he was already in a vessel and mostly cut off from Heaven. Anna fell to Earth from Heaven and entered a vessel. I'm not sure how much choice Anna had over her vessel in that instance.

Just popping in to say that if Castiel ever fell, he'd be reborn as a baby, just like Anna did.
