Joe’s POV.
I look down at my phone.
“Brooke, this so isn’t funny anymore…” I mutter to it. Another incoming text. I read it and do as the instructions say. I walk seven steps forward, and three to the left. Another one. Walk a hundred feet backwards!? Ugh! I do as told and right when I cover the distance, I get another one. One hundred and ten feet forwards, then seven steps to the left. Typical. I walk back the way I came and do the seven steps to the left. I realize I’m exactly where I started. One more text and I’m ready to throw my phone into the wall. Turn around. I do as told and immediately feel Brooke’s lips on mine. I wrap my arms around her waist and feel the soft silk on the palms of my hands. I open her lips with mine and slip my tongue in her mouth. I lean away after a second and see Brooke’s red lipstick is now somewhat smudged. She giggles and wipes my lips with her thumb.
“Red isn’t your color…” she tells me. I step back and take a look at her.
“Well, red most definitely is your color…” I say and my eyes pop out of their sockets. I take in every little detail of her body. I start with her hair that’s in an artistically messy ponytail. Black square gemstones are hanging in her ears, glittering in the light. Her lashes are miles long and her eyes look smokey. Her lipstick is red and it’s not the glossy kind. Good, glosses are sticky. I let my eyes travel down to her neck, which is bare. Good, makes it easier to kiss. I then let my eyes wander across her dress. It has one, broad shoulder and the other shoulder is bare. It sort of drapes together, kind of toga-like. It’s insanely short, yet not slutty or revealing. It actually looks quite sophisticated if you ignore the actual shortness. Though this is good, I’ll be the only one looking at her legs enough to notice it. But my god, don’t get me started on those legs… A pleasurable shiver runs through my spine. The dress bubbles a little at the bottom, making it all the more perfect and sexy. I can’t help but stare at her legs. I glance at her shoes and see black, high, patent leather pumps.
“You look absolutely amazing. And sexy…” I tell Brooke and pull her back into my arms.
“Thank you, Joe. You look pretty dazzling yourself…” Brooke mutters in my ear. Her hot, sweet breath makes me shiver. I pull her into a hug and kiss her neck.
“Your neck smells like vanilla with a hint of blueberry...” I whisper. She smiles.
“I know… What do you think?” she asks me, pulling away. I pull her close again and inhale her scent. Brooke giggles.
“You smell amazing, Brooke…” I say and mean it. She tries to pull away but I continue to keep her close and breathe in and out.
“You can stop sniffing me now, Joe…” she laughs. I pull away and blush.
“Right. Sorry… Man, Brooke… You look… Whoa…” I say, stuttering and at loss for words. Brooke flushes so deep, her cheeks almost match her dress.
“Come on. We should get to the ballroom shouldn’t we?” she suggests, holding her hand out for me to take it. I slip my hand in hers and hold it firmly. I eye her legs as she walks. I spot a bathroom – female, but I don’t really care – and pull Brooke in with me.
“Joseph. This is not the time…” Brooke smirks when I lean in to kiss her.
“It’s always the time,” I reply cockily.
“You should get the remaining lipstick off your lips…” she giggles. I roll my eyes and turn to the mirror in which Brooke is doing her own makeup. She touches up her lipstick and kisses a napkin. I never understood why girls did that…
“Come on, Joe. We need to get out there… People must be wondering where the hell you are… You are still a Jonas, remember that,” Brooke jokes and nudges me with her elbow. I take her arm and usher her out of the room.
“We need to find out where Nick and Kevin are before that anyway. I don’t see why we couldn’t have made a detour,” I huff. Brooke kisses my cheek lightly so no lipstick will stick to my cheek.
“Tease,” I mutter.
“I bet you wouldn’t mind me being a tease if we were in bed right now…” I hear Brooke mumbling to herself. I chuckle and pull her to a stop. I press my lips against hers hard and she arches her back. I slip my hand behind her neck for support and try to pry her lips open with mine. She doesn’t budge and it frustrates me. She pulls me closer by slipping her hands behind my neck tightly, but then pushes me away spontaneously. That was weird…
“Save it Joe… We can have fun tonight…” Brooke promises, breathing into my ear.
