So Glenn Beck on Fox News recently (September 29, 2009) showed a graphic murder. This is the sort of thing that would get a video pulled from youtube almost immediately, but for some reason Fox deemed it important enough to put on the Glenn Beck show.

Now I've seen the ugly side of mankind. But to be honest this is something that one has to mentally prepare for. It should not be the sort of thing that should get pushed in your face. I mean the only warning Beck gives is to tell 'children to leave the room' before showing the young teen getting beaten to death. This is I am pretty sure just for the shock value to make the audience more receptive to Beck telling them that its all because we have taken in god we trust off some of our currency.

Beck goes on to blame this on the 'loss of god' in America.

Beck gives several monologues as tirades where he basically dictates to the audience what they should think, and in this sense is not unlike howtheworldworks.
Watching Glenn in action is like watching the art of manipulation in motions. He targets his appeals to every mechanism of suggestions, bar reason, logic and facts.

If I sound a little off or if the language is a little off. Bear with me on this one Im currently laid up with the swine flu.

  • 99.97 % of convicts claim one religion or other. Is there no one who will beat Glenn Beck to death?

  • @TurningJappanesse Actually, no many of our laws don't come from the Bible. Laws against incest, rape and child abuse aren't mentioned in the Bible. Banning slavery, the emergence of female equality and a reduction in capital punishment are all secular ideas developed completely without input from any Biblical texts. Isn't slightly strange all these quite important values were left out? Besides, the laws mentioned in the Bible are much older, most of them developed under a polytheistic theology.

  • @MaddestHatterFilms It's because biology, psychology, and other sciences (which many religious people refuse to accept as valid sources of information. Complicated = untrue) can explain these laws, not some literary piece from 2000 years ago. Well said.

  • If I died in such a way, I wouldn't want it to be televised......

  • Beck says "they start swinging and kicking at Will", who is Will and what did he do wrong?

  • I'm so glad this guy lost his show.

  • Glen Beck's straw-man argument is completely PATHETIC!

None of his scaremongering negates the fact that there is absolutely no reason to believe in god and there is no evidence for god.

Also, atheism doesn't make people ''morally bad'' at all.

  • @MaddestHatterFilms Actually "rape" is in there. It says a woman is too be stoned too death if she doesn't scream loud enough during the rape. Nothing about stopping it. Just killing her. If you don't thing she yelled enough.

  • @TurningJappanesse then, not than, in your second sentence. I'm an atheist and I have morals, karma is total bs though. I am a decent person because I would like to be treated decently, not because I believe I will be treated decently in the future.
