Extreme Mustang Makeover 2009 Shappa Nearly Ready to Ride

Despite some time delays and issues on my part, Shappa has been making great, steady progress. Here's a quick clip of her work today -- day 50 of our 100 days! -- where Shappa shows she is nearly ready to ride. She stands fabulously to be saddled, lunges with ease without caring about her stirrups banging etc, allows me to step in the stirrup and lay weight across her back, and even moves with that weight. She will also stand in our mounting blocks and let me straddle her, weight on her back, and move her stirrups. She's a beautiful girl and a joy to be around, a real ham for attention. What a wonderful girl!!

oh awesome. good for you. i will have to upload some videos of me starting a spanish mustang. it certainly takes a different type of training than I was used to but it worked out ok. congrats. she's gonna be awesome.
