The second episode of Bars For Change is finally here! In this episode Jody looks at how YOU can fight the government cuts and protect the services you believe to be vital in your area.

In 2010, the government announced £81 billion of cuts to public services in a bid to tackle the massive debt caused by previous governments spending too much money. Almost one year on, these cuts are starting to affect the lives of ordinary people as libraries, youth centres and leisure centres across the country begin to close and the NHS starts to shed staff.

Jody asked you to share your stories about the cuts and Durtty Goodz has used these contributions and his own thoughts on the topic to write an exclusive new track, which forms the soundtrack to the film.

As well as his bars, you'll hear the story of Yasmin and the young people of Rubery who are campaigning to save their local youth centre from the chop. They take their case to the Worcestershire County Council chamber and when their demands fall on deaf ears they literally take their fight to the streets.

Let us know what you think of the track and the video in the comments below or on our Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/barsforchange) where you can see behind the scenes photos from all our shoots.

Jody would also love to hear what you think so tweet @jodymcintyre with the hashtag #barsforchange to let him know.

FIND OUT MORE....

Worcester County Council is running a consultation to give young people the chance to have their say on the cuts and is urging young people to come along to a number of consultation events.

If you have been affected by their cuts YOU can have your say here... http://www.worcestershire.gov.uk/haveyoursay

You will need to click 'Current Consultations' and then 'Future of Positive Activities for Young People'. Why is it so complicated? We don't know. Why not ask the council. If this is all too much faff, you can email Cllr. Liz Eyre at the address on her website... http://bit.ly/qYqsoK

If you want to fight the planned cuts, you need to register your complaint before September the 30th and feedback from this consultation will then be considered on November 24th by the council.

Remember, if you want to fight the cuts as a Young Person you have to make your voice heard. Working together we can not only save Youth Services in Worcester, but throughout the UK as well!

TO FIND OUT ABOUT CUTS IN YOUR AREA WHICH MIGHT AFFECT YOU, take a look at this map of all the reported cuts in the country... http://voluntarysectorcuts.org.uk/cuts-map/

If you want to campaign about the cuts in your area, why not see what events your local Anti-Cuts group are running. A map showing all the groups can be found here... http://bit.ly/g6CXOm

Or if you want to go it alone, The Site has some great advice on how to run a campaign including information on making the most of social media and getting your MP involved... http://www.thesite.org/homelawandmoney/activism

The easiest way to let your local councillors or even your local MP know what you think of the cuts is to email them and this website makes it really really simple. Just type in your postcode and follow the instructions.... http://www.writetothem.com
