  • i would also like to know if taht was rubbish he walked past?

  • no he wasn't walking past rubbish, there wasn't any on kala pattar..i'm sorry if the loss of resolution due to compression made the rocks and/or prayer flags look like rubbish

  • Kalapattar trek is the one of the best trekking destination. Looking at your video you made it to upper Kalapatter i.e 5628m. or 1846ft.which is great for a good trekker. At Everest two people from every 1000 trekkers dies in Namche Bazzar 3364m.(11101 ft) (According to National Park survey) It's was a great video. And If you want to be a mountaineer and you want to go beyond you can do it. Thanks for sharing the video.

    Namaste.

  • many thanks sherpapasang01, i like this trek so much that in spring this year i went back there again and this time went to base camp, crossed the cho la, and also went to gokyo..but the best thing about the trek is the sherpas and the friends that i've made there..you may be interested to know that the film was selected for the kathmandu international mountain film festival and muha, the trekker in the video, went for the screening last december..cheers

  • So right, when you stand on Kalapatar (5550 m)you really just wish you could go higher. That´s when you light up the joint and sit in oar of the view enjoying some of the best smoke in the world.

the greatest experience of my life ;)

    encountersNepal

  • I've been Kala Pattar and it a exaggeration that ypu have to take breathe every ine step - I think it 20-30 even more if you have good aclimatisation :)

  • just make sure not to climb with an outfit called Summit Climb. They nearly got me killed on Everest

  • @forbidnapple

Stop being so bitter and twisted about it.

Did I detect a hint of racism between the lines?

Enough. Its just a name. its not the end of life as we know it!

  • THE FIRST ACCURATE HEIGHT MEASUREMENT WAS DONE BY THE INDIAN(BENGALI)MATHEMATICIAN RADHANATH SIKDAR. HE MUST HAVE WORKED SO HARD TO GET THE HEIGHT,ITS GREATEST PRIDE. BUT TYPICAL OF BRITISH PPL TODAYS ITS KNOWN AFTER SOME BULLSHIT SURVEYER GEORGE EVEREST, WHO DON NOT HAV SINGLE CONTRIBUTION RELATED ANYTHING TO THE MOUNTAIN.I SAY THE BRITISHERS ARE SELF ACCLAIMED THIEVES-THEY TOOK WEALTH FROM ALL COUNTRIES AND NEVER RETURNED INCLUDIN THE KOHINOOR.

  • @diliprai Because some people are climbing a mountain doesnt mean they dont respect the nature, they do it just in another way.

  • dear globe255 it's not whether it is made of stone.

Even earth you living in is made of stone.

But i understand you people won't understand the native ways and culture

But if you have time, plz watch this video -->

"sakela~the greatest festival of Kirat people" and you know why we native from Red Indians in N. America to tribes in Amazon forest revere and respect the land we live on and worship the nature.

    thanks

  • @diliprai Come on, it is just a mountain we are talking about, it wont get hurt because humans or animals are climbing on it- it is made of stone.
