Stephane Grappelli and Joe Venuti, arguably the two top violinists in jazz history, only made one recording together, this heated 1969 studio session. With pianist George Wein and guitarist Barney Kessel helping out as part of the supporting four-piece rhythm section, Grappelli and Venuti often romp during the title cut and the six standards that comprise this memorable session. This violin "battle" ends up as a dead heat, a joyous and historic occasion for all concerned.

You'll find the whole album on my channel.

  • Talk about tea for two :-)...

  • @beforeourveryeyes thanks ^^

  • @Zucco17 Your English seems pretty good to me! We're communicating!

  • @beforeourveryeyes Ahahahah you're so funny :D thank you for all the credits and feed you give to me! Sorry if I misunderstood your "appteciated", I thought it was simply a word I don't work because I'm not that good at English. By the end of tonight all the album will be online!

  • @Zucco17 (That's increases in value, not calue.) "You are appreciated" is like saying:" I value you" and "thank you", but more, in this case, "thinking about you and your love of music and generosity and skill in uploading and how we like the same music and your responding makes me feel more joy than I did before". OMG. I just noticed I typed it wrong! I meant, "You are appReciated! appreciated! haahaaa! What fun! Thank you, I really enjoyed thinking about the meaning of appreciate.

  • @Zucco17 appreciate is one of the best concepts: it means to focus on someone or thing in a way that increases the value of them/it.You can say that a painting you bought appreciated which means it increased in value,(ie. money),or you can look at the painting and see the qualities that interest and excite or move you and as you do, you find your feelings of enjoyment increasing and the painting increases in calue to you because of the relationship which your focus has initiated.

  • @beforeourveryeyes Sorry, but I don't know what means "appteciated"

  • @Zucco17 mmmmmmmmmmmmmm You are appteciated!
