Bahasa melayu is also our brother tongue because tagalog and bahasa melayu has the same root, and the are both austranesian.

@danangsam Malay language is the language of the Malays and it is a lingua franca, which became the main language of Malays clump in southern east Asia in the past until now .. Malay language is not native to Sumatera but only the findings, it is not always accurate, but it originally comes from his own Malay people especially Malaysia that spoken with different dialects according to the place. @baukiki Bahasa Indonesia sebenarnya ditarik dari bahasa Melayu juga. Tapi, Ejaan Bahasa Indonesia dilandaskan dari Bahasa Belanda kemudian diubah/disempurnakan waktu orde baru, sehingga memiliki perbedaan dengan bahasa Malaysia, baik dalam perbendaharaan kata dan aksen.
