PART 2 in SERIES - In this lesson we look at the three most commonly used scales in blues, The Minor Pentatonic, The Blues Scale and The Dorian Mode. This is your blues "alphabet" and you should get to know these before starting to learn your licks!

Taught by Justin Sandercoe.

Full support at the justinguitar web site where you will find hundreds of lessons on a wide range of subjects, and all the scales and chords that you will ever need! There is a great forum too to get help, no matter what the problem.

And it is all totally free, no bull. No sample lessons, no memberships, no free ebook. Just tons of great lessons :)

To get help with this lesson (and for further info and tabs), find the Lesson ID in the video title (like ST-667 or whatever) and then look it up on the Lesson Index page of justinguitar.com

Good luck and take care, J

  • @sgenn99 me too. use my pinky coz i was classical guitar player first. but its cool to learn electric differences so thanx many many times for yur great vids

  • @jlhcornwall i use my pinky to bend too, but since watching this vid i have started to use my third finger. it just gives you more control and makes the bend sound stronger, more supported. i still use my pinky from time to time, but i've been changing it up. ultimately, it's about what works for you.

  • justin, thank you for these lessons. this series is definitely one of the most well-thought out and well taught blues guitar intros on youtube. and no, you're not talking too much. i know a lot of people are eager to learn and just want to see where to put their fingers, but they need to realize that it isn't just about where you put your fingers and what strings you play. it's about why-it's technique. and your technique is fantastic. clear, simple and rockin'! thanks again, man. peace.

  • @bogellenong back off he's mine

  • i love you

  • Thank you Justin. I've been trying to get into blues guitar playing for months now, but I think this lesson gave me the final start kick. Now I have a good basis to built up on ;) I'm looking forward to the rest of the video series. Greetings from germany :)
