My uncle from Perth was in the Black Watch in the mid 50's...

Used by a Hanovarian regime to use Scots against other Scots. They should be wearing Blue bonnets and White cockades!

marching through your home town...what a feeling!

Well done, Scots

Very scottish ... including the weather

It's futile. We can't stay forever and the Taliban will just play the waiting game.

Can anyone explain to me why our troops are in Afghanistan. It's a serious question. They have a difficult and dangerous job but I just don't get it.

Any Scott that watches this will stand a little taller (for good reason!) Black Watch!!!!

the pony is funny they could use him as suecide pony if they needed too in the battle, before i forget the US governments created those terrorists if anyone name them so they find reasons to take the tax money and put it in thier pockets and send you to war.

Why does one of them carry a pony?

- The wee Highland pony is the Black Watch Regimental mascot.

The statue is to commemorate the founding of the Black Watch at Aberfeldy, the first soldiers were recruited in about 1735 or so. They were raised by the British Government to to help control the Highland Clans. My understanding is they were called black watch as their tartan was dark and 'Watch' as they were watching the Highlands of Scotland for the government.
