On September 25, 2011, the Returned Peace Corps Volunteers of Washington DC hosted a commemoration of Peace Corps' 50th Anniversary event at Arlington National, honoring Peace Corps Volunteers who lost their lives during Peace Corps service. Speakers included Maureen Orth, Senator Chris Dodd, and Peace Corps Director Aaron S. Williams.
