  • There was a baby rhino named Satchmo. He lived at Audubon for a few years and was doing fine here. When he started to get big, he was sent a zoo in Rochester, NY and after several months his health went downhill and he had to euthanized. When he was still small at Audubon Zoo, the keepers had conditioned him to enter a small corral from time to time so zoo visitors could have a close encounter with him. He enjoyed the attention and was given his favorite treat, bananas.

  • His horns look VERY sharp, too.

The others in the background don't seem to be keeping theirs so pointy.

I wonder what he's preparing for.

  • They're like living, breathing army tanks. One alone could probably takeout an entire football team. LOL

BTW, wasn't there a baby rhino a few years back?
