Been listening to Soul Coughing for a few months now. No doubt that Mike Doughty is awesome but, in keeping it simple, guitar and vocals, you have captured the 'essence' of what this song is about....
"stoned motel room, nice cool on the bathroom floor..." such a great line....

only thing i noticed is where is the line spoon to the lighter to the lighter to the gun, the devil lapsed out in a pool of sun at the end its repeated like 8 times on the soul coughing studio version off of ruby vroom thats my best part :(

Yours is the best cover I've heard. You have Doughty's style down perfectly. You do such an awesome job of this. My only nit-pick: Six hundred and Sixty Six, not Cents.
