@randydandy1974 I think you're confused. RDs are the ones that actually weren't lazy and went to school and had to study. It's the nutritionists who are quacks.

@themanwhoknew And a certified clinical nutritionist as well. That's why this cert is a huge waste of money.

Screw all that. That's way too much work for an accreditation that isn't even recognized. Shit even google has barely heard of it. Plus you used quack words that "imbalances" which is a alty, religious kind of word, not a science word.

dont trust RDs, they dont have the education

Gigi down below: What education do you have?

Also took nutr communication (oh, I thought you said we're not about counseling), food and culture, sports nutriton, exercise and energy, nutrition counseling, community nutrition, and thesis work. What I see here said about RD's is hysterical! Any of you geniuses actually work as an RD in a healthcare setting such as a hospital or nursing home! To those who think our coursework is a joke, consider this that I've had to take: general chem 1 and 2, organic chem 1 and 2, anat and phys, biochem, microbio, advanced human metabolism 1 and 2, food science, food technology, medical nutriton therapy 1 and 2 (oh, and you said we're not about maintaining and promoting health--that's rich), nutr comm

My name is Melody and I live in Louisiana. I would really like to speak with you about your training because I would like to be trained to do what you do. Please think of getting in touch with me so that we can speak about this. I was so excited to see this video.
In the US the term 'nutritionist' is not by any means a legally protected term.
Any of us can call ourselves a nutritionist.

A CCN's job is awesome, great vid. I just want to point out that the jobs and roles of Registered Dietitians(RD) are more diverse than she pointed out. I know many RDs that have NEVER worked in food service. They do however work mostly in conventional healthcare. Daily Clinical RDs give nutrition diagnoses, perform nutrition assessments, interpret lab data, recommend enteral and parenteral nutrition, educate on diet, provide nutrition for wound care & monitor bowel activities to say the least.
