According to comments made by an executive with Mexican carrier Telcel, Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) plans to release a revised iPhone 4 with a tweaked antenna design after the company's free case giveaway expires at the end of September.
Marco Quatorze said that Mexico will initially receive the same iPhone 4 model that was released in the U.S. and received heavy criticism following its antenna issues.
However, in comments he made last week, which were uncovered by MacRumors, he claimed that adjusted hardware with an improved antenna design will be rolled out after September 30th.
The comments could be mere speculation, however.
Prior to the case giveaway, various reports arose indicating that Apple was working on hardware to fix the antenna issue.
