This was the opening [reissue] title after Mattel dropped their sponsorship in mid-1962 (eliminating the "Matty Mattel" and "Sister Belle" elements, and using a slightly different theme). At 1:11, the announcer originally intoned, "'BEANY AND CECIL' is brought to you by....", folllowed by a ten second sponsor I.D.

I hate to say I'm more a fan of the openings seen on the old VHS tapes put out some 25 years ago (itself a re-written version from "Matty's Funnies" but at least we got a song to sing than what was seen here).
