they cut them in order to fit a time frame.

I much would rather have seen Glenn Close, she was by far the best in the role.
-
She didn't phone in this performance, she faxed it is and then fucked up the lyrics. A disgrace !

hmmm, not sure about this. lacking something? passion? acting? Dunno, doesnt quite hit it for me,

i love ebersole, but lupone was great, and , though i hate
to admit it, so was glenn close. i wish angela lansbury was
younger when this came around, she would have been phenomenal and i would also love to see cyndi lauper do this
part. why isn't she in big broadway musicals? she's got the lungs and the acting talent and presence. how long will we have to wait? although i finally got to see lupone as rose,
so someone is thinking right.

Beautiful.

what's good about yours???

why did they change the lyrics? or did she not get them right?
A year ago when this was originally encoded the technology wasn't yet there. You'd pull the video off the TV, transfer it as a quicktime then to AVI. The video rate was at 24 frames and the audio was at 30. The newer codecs solve the problem. Unfortunately I don't have the original and can't re-encode.

I 've seen Sunset 13 times in Los angeles, NY, London and even Vancouver. Glenn Close couldn't hit the notes, and played the role as mad. Betty Buckley and Elaine Paige, are interchangable and sing it beautifully. But the Diva that is Norma was Patti Lupone, the critics in London sandbagged her. Her voice was strong as well as vulnerable. The same qualities as Miss Ebersole. She is however a bit too young to play the role. But she is awesome.
