Jone Samuelsen of Norwegian side Odd Grenland achieved the quite remarkable feat of scoring a header from his own half against Tromso last night.
Scoring from the beyond the halfway line is something of a rare occurrence and has been pulled off by the likes of David Beckham, Xabi Alonso and Nayim over the years, but none of those more recognisable players can claim to have scored with a header from their own half; indeed it is something that is never, ever likely to happen again.

O norueguês Jone Samuelsen, do Odd Grenland, da primeira divisão da Noruega, é candidato a integrar o livro Guiness dos recordes, segundo informações do seu próprio clube, por ter feito um gol de cabeça do meio de campo.
"Segundo nossas informações é a maior distância registrada em um gol de cabeça. Calculamos 57,3 metros", declarou o diretor do clube, Tore Andersen.
Samuelsen foi modesto e admitiu que não pensava em fazer o gol, apenas em afastar a bola do campo de defesa.
