The cameras are better for elected officials because voters can actually see them.
The Supreme Court is not supposed to deal with the public, they are supposed to deal with justice. Does a law follow the constitution or not? That is all they can look at.

I too agree that there should be cameras in the Supreme Court. I see no reason for it not to be televised. It's the peoples business so they have the right to see it happen.
