@hankbummer IF the governor of cuts this then he is an idiot. GM is not making any money. I think they laid off more people. Film industry is the only thing that is making michigan money right now.

California comes out and shoots up michigan and takes it's post production back to the big studios......post production is "the film industry". those really benefiting on film education programs are the schools/studios tapping stimulus money to "train" and send hopeful working folks through this maze of mirrors. Hollywood producing jobs, producing a sustainable industry???? let's see real numbers!

And I'm not being mean, it's not because this is being filmed in Mi. And Gran Toreno was desent but the remake of Red Dawn looks like it might suck a bit.

Good luck. But MI is no California. The only reason the film industry went from it's birthplace in New Jersey to First San Francisco then LA was the micro climates and different physical elements of the state. You can film Italy in Napa, You can film New england in the nothern foggy coastline, You can film the African Sahara in Death or Mojave Desert. You can film Switzerland in the lower Cascade or Sierra Mountain range. But I hope things get better for you without getting worse for us.
