My dad said this movie was scary because of how real it seemed at times. That and the mysterious ending, that today we can just add in anything hilarious to add some reality to it.

I love how there is no real proof that anything that happened in this movie was supernatural. I always assumed it was supernatural, but not seeing anything supernatrual happen on film made it so much more powerful and terrirfying.

@dominoz22 in the beginning of the movie a cult child killer was arrested for killing multipul children in the town this was close to. The child killer would place a group of children in the basement and tell them to each face the corner. He would tell them to face the corner and not look if they would hear screaming or he would kill them. He would kill them one by one this way keeping order with fear. Girl was screaming cause she couldn't keep up with the Mike running after Josh.

That picture of Anneliese Michel is more scary then this movie.
This is why you don’t go into an abandoned house in the middle of the woods at night.
If you must, at least bring guns and stay together. And when someone is standing in a dark abandoned house facing the wall, you don’t walk up to that person!
