Yea I think the actual production of Greco started in the 40's...they started making replicas in the 70s all the way up to the 90s. nonetheless Greco guitars are beautiful. way better than the burny's!!!
It is a 59 Replica...that is what he means. This looks like a EG59-50 model. The 59 denotes a 59 neck and build with a long tenon etc. The 50 is the model version...what used to be a 500 or 50,000 yen when new in 1982 or there about.

I'm about to purchase old '72 Greco. Guy asks 280euros for it.
Is that to much? I know Grecos are great, but guitar is player from hell.
Lot of dings,scratches and character.
