The U.S. says the operation against Bin Laden was a 'kill-or-capture mission'. But journalist Afshin Rattansi says taking him alive would have opened a floodgate to a past, the U.S. would rather keep shut.

@katakisLives I guess I'd have to agree with that (CIA making Bin Laden) and also agree that we had a legit reason to be in the region. It's not like we were there without an invitation. It just boiled down to the damn religion thing. We were infidels in Muslim territory and so he decided to kill random innocent people as a career. The fucked up part is that he got lots of support and sympathy, from people all over the world even in countries he wouldn't think twice about attacking
