@DetectiveInsaneL ur very right bout the sad eery vibe. its funny u say that cause,like 4 yrs ago i stayed there on and off for about a month,and it was fun,fascinating, YET very scary,weird, and sad. i got the same vibe. theres this feeling you get like what the hell happened here? you always feel creeped out! ALWAYS. yet makes u wanna go back again! its strange! i had a tv turn on and off and i FREAKED out! lol

I was just in New York a few days ago. I went to the Chelsea Hotel, I didnt stay there, I just walked past. Beautiful building, but I got this eerie/sad vibe off of it. It was still great, though.
