um, im pretty damn fucking sure that a man gen coupe 2.0t would have raped a civic si stock, plus you guys chose the top of the line civic and a lower model of the gen coupe to compare.

So there is a big difference right there, you should have used a track model vs the si.

All you guys know that gen coupe is a tuner car? Even if it has a low hp it is made to be modded to go fast.

@sup3rmann13 honestly I think the way they have handled the genesis is retarded now. I now own a Impreza WRX, and I have driven many STI's and other versions of both wrx and sti's and I think how Subaru set up there performance differences is what Hyundai should have done... But idc anymore, lol I'm doing just fine with my turbo swapped 350 hp Rex... Lol

@CWLTT You do realize that they did this so the price points were the same... Top of the line genesis is close to 30grand... that's not really fair. Oh and a genesis 2.0t track is 27grand oh and it still only makes 200hp.

I would've compared the gen coupe with something like a mazdaspeed 3. But then it would've gotten blown out of the water.

The 6MT tranny might have made the Gen Coupe quicker (maybe not) but 1 full second is A LOT. Then you got to consider the Civic was riding on really shitty tires.

This is stupid. Gencoupe=RWD, Si=FWD? Si's great, just dun go around saying "here's my SPORTS car" cuz it isn't. Check gencoupe forums and find with intake, exhaust, and ecu upgrade, you get good over 250 Whp. Not Si. FailWD are limited in hp, as front wheels can't take too much power.

Genesis are slow because it already have turbo plus the 23 MPG combined that sucks. put a stock turbo in a civic.. The civic will kill the Genesis. There nice though

Might want to double check a couple of things here...The Genesis is rated slightly higher for mpg than the Si according to government testing. The difference is close enough to say they get the same mileage, though. The Gen Coupe is a brand new model, and there is not enough data for resale value, yet. Reliability is another thing that has not enough data, either.
