This is my first song for tenor and piano. I've tried to capture a melancholic sound in the piece that only deviates when the character displays his (or her) more insane thoughts on murder and the like.
I left out the penultimate stanza for two reasons. One, I felt it broke the trend of how the character works his way up the killing ladder, and two, the music had reached a point where it needed to conclude.
Let me know what you think. Massive thanks to Carol Ann Duffy for the inspiration, which began when I learned of her in school!
what program do you use for that voice. (and the instruments too) I really enjoyed this piece, something you'd find in a musical perhaps. Excellent! :)

@DanAFlint The pianist and the tenor are both live. They were on my music course at university. The software we used to record them is called Pyramix and this was mixed in Pro Tools. Cheers

A very cheerful, enjoyable piece of music, not! But with a severe autistic son, I think I might relate to the writer, than we can all feel ignored. He is not like my Mum, who thinks she can talk a fly out of the house and has enormous respect for them. My Dad when I was lil' use to squash a fly with his comb.

I think you should be locked away in a mental asylum, of course an asylum with a piano, a recording studio and access to youtube.
Other than that, nice work dude! Keep it up :D
