This was Chevrolet's promo ad for the fifth generation Malibu.
I got this from a interactive demo CD in a Malibu pamphlet from an auto show a few years ago.

I actually like the style of the ad, It gives me chills.

I second that. No working CD player. Can't adjust mirrors. Rattles and clunking galore. Easily stained seats. Can't see radio display in sunlight. etc.

This is a 6th Genaration malibu 5th genaration is 1997-2003. READ wikipedia to prove that I'm right. IO own a 2005 malibu and it's a nice car.

i own a 2004 malibu ls, not a bad car, 0-60 is a suprising 7 seconds. pretty fast for an automatic.

No it is a 2004, GM still offers the pervious generation body style as the Malibu classic. Yours must be a classic which resembles the 1997-2003 body style. GM currently sells the 2004-2007 body style Malibu as the Malibu classic sharing the Malibu name plate with its successor introduced in 2008.

I have one!!! Its an ok car. Runs good and never had any problems.. And that is a 2004!!!! The 04 model comes in 2 styles.. The classic, and this one.
