My thought son how to create a realistic muzzle flash in after effects. Things to keep in mind ...

- Muzzle flashes rarley happen
- the flash itself is a tad whiter at day, orangish by night!
- motion blur = key to succes
- RESAERCH YOUR GUN!!!
- set smoke to "add"

  • Muzzle flashes arent rare, if you shoot real guns every time there is a flare, but mostly flares happen between frames, that why you dont see them very much

  • @MultiAnonymousman google it

  • When a reall gun fires it looks nothing like in the movies. The flashes are never the same shape, when they occur because they only happen visible once in a while. Also there are frequently spark like glowing dots the fly out as well. These are actually chunks of slow burning powder. They usually can be seen very well at night or when indoors and there are usually 3 or 4 of these "sparks" there will also be a small flash right when the slide/bolt comes back during the initial part of the recoil

  • @fullgraffbomber not every time, half of the guns iv shot do not "flare".

  • so actually battlefield isnt that realistic since the muzzle flashes happen once a frame. the game is 30 fps thats why.

  • Impressive!

  • Muzzle flashes has to be bigger than that!!!

  • nice t-shirt

  • this is awesome man! thanks for all your help and your videos are awesome. i would have never known how to do that with the pistol :) thx

  • @fullgraffbomber No gun flashes 100% of the time. Unless it's night or a low-light area, you won't see a flash with your eye the majority of the time. And even when there is a flash, there's no pattern to it. It never looks the same and you never know what shot will have a flash on it. A gun won't flash every time you shoot it.

  • How do you "trim" the frames and stuff?

  • in the Action essentials there is an automatic fire, clip, but you used a regular muzzle flash over and over, u could have saved a lot of time.

and by the way, I'm not hating, I'm just giving u a tip
