http://fatnews.com/ Hi, this is Larry Hobbs @ FatNews.com.

------

My research shows that many chronic illnesses including heart disease, obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure, arthritis, mental illnesses, Alzheimer's disease, and the explosion of childhood illnesses are largely attributable to Type 2 hypothyroidism.

Type 1 Hypothyroidism is defined as failure of the thyroid gland to produce sufficient amounts of necessary to maintain normal blood levels of those hormones and normal blood levels of the thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH).

Type 2 Hypothyroidism is defined as [a] resistance to thyroid hormones at the cellular level.

[In Type 2 hypothyroidism,] Normal amounts of thyroid hormones and thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) are detected by the blood tests therefore, blood tests do not detect Type 2 hypothyroidism.

  • I believe you. Where can I find a doctor who believes you?

  • Cynthia,

You can look for a doctor who is a member of

American College of Advancement In Medicine (ACAM)

    23121 Verdugo Dr Ste 204

    Laguna Hills, CA 92653-1339

    (949) 583-7666

    acamnet .org

On their website, you can "Find A Physician".

You might also call Dr. Starr's office and ask if he knows someone in your area.

  • Thank you. I have been shopping for a new doctor. BTW, I think the reason why thyroid problems are on the increase is best explained by the addition of fluoride to the water, and reduced iodine consumption.
