"why put God in an ad when you dont believe in God" That is like saying why say you play Mario if he is not real.
-
You just know the Fox shithead would pound the point nonstop if anyone mentioned a Christian display that included the word God. "But again, why did you include the word God? Don't you realize how many atheists you're offending?" - over & over. If the roles were reversed, and the atheist were the drooling moron, I know it would be the atheist who was served up a softball question and then allowed to drone on and on. I know that's how it would all go because I know that Fox is "fair and balanced"

That's a pretty tame message compared to some of the mean-spirited stuff I've heard from both sides. "Religion is a mental illness," "Repent or burn in hell," it's all the same. But only a fool would say you need religion to be a good person.
-
Boy, does this journalist miss the point - unbelievable how blind faith can cloud rational thought. He asks why they didn't opt for "more of an atheist message" like "Feel good about yourself". If you saw a message on the side of a bus that said "Feel good about yourself", would you really think it was an "atheist message". Commendable how restrained the atheist was here in the face of such ignorance - from media no less...

How?

@DilvishW "common colloquialism" polluted water comes only from polluted wells.
-
@mrtadreamer Ha. You're hilarious. For all you know, I volunteer every day at a soup kitchen and donate regularly to feed the homeless, but because I used a common colloquialism to question your inherently offensive statement, you feel safe "resting your case." If that's the only evidence you can use to support your argument, I rest my case.
-
@DilvishW yep, "what the hell are you talking about" i can tell by your invective, you're a very good atheist indeed. i rest my case.
-
@mrtadreamer Even if 30% of the people who marked Christian, weren't Christian. And 20% were in-prison converts (both absurdly generous hypotheticals), that's still 20% Christians vs .5% Atheists. That's an enormous gap. So, when you ask "If atheists can be good without God, then why aren't they?" I have to question just what in the hell you are talking about? Statistically, Christians are more likely to do wrong than Atheists. What evidence do you have that Atheists aren't doing good?
-
@DilvishW As for your other question, Christians haven't done anything that atheists haven't, except to repent and gain new lives through Jesus Christ.
"blah blah creator god makes everyone equal" hey pastor why dont u drive your mercedes out into somalia and tell some starving ppl that they are equal.

Correct thing for Binder to say to Doocy: "You're a moron."
People mention what they're against in arguments so their statements have impact against a certain target., even if they don't think that thing exists. Just saying "You can feel good about yourself" is incredibly vague and could apply to anything, but "You can be good without God" is specifically atheist.
Having seen this, I'm sure I could get a job at FOX News if I just spew nonsensical right-winged bias.
