Gary Jules version, released when EMO music is cool.
Tears for Fears original version, released when synth music is cool.
Conclusion: their both good!
-
@MrBartSampson Unlocking the songs potential? Nothing needed to be unlocked, this version is perfect. All Mr. Jules did was turn it into some sellout pop version.
-
Both versions are very good for their own reasons, but this one will still always be the original.

listening to both versions i reckon the gary jules version is more emotional nd a sadder song, tears for fears i've found its more of a song u love to listen to wen drunk or high nd just wanna rave out

-
I hold this song dear, but Gary Jules (and Alex Parks) bring out the true emotion of it
-

-

the song is decent, this band peforms it like shit, gary jules performs it well
-
Gary Jules, thank you for making the music a little bit more appropriate for the lyrics. Both are fantastic, but Mr. Jules found the key to unlocking the songs potential.

Like songs for if you enjoy them or not, if you dislike the Gary Jules version then don't listen to it, if you dislike this version then don't listen to it. Why must the internet be so immature about anything and everything?
I think this version is better than Gary Jules's Version.

To the fools going "blahblahblah Gary Jules", this IS the original. Gary Jules did a cover, that's all.
