Hi there, thanks for this great vid but I need a little help as I'm a rookie. Now that I have changed the WP URL in my WP dashboard I can't get back to my site?
Also, when I try to Export the WP database in MAMP I cannot get to the start page anymore for the 2nd step (think it has something to do with changing the WP URL in the Start page. Your help would be appreciated. Many thanks! :)

What if the online server has no CPanel? How would I upload Wordpress and its database to that domain? Hope you'll reply asap. Thanks! Great Tutorial by the way! :)

@ty667891 did you backup the old database? if you don't you have to change the value of site url and website name in the database manually.

Excellent tutorial, I followed all the steps but having one problem. My website is working fine apart from all the images are missing. I went to setting > media and wrote the path of where the images were stored but this didn't help. Do you have any other suggestions? I've looked everywhere for an answer but can't seem to find anything. Thank you

@rmj071286 You need to write the path where images are stored not where they were stored.. Sometimes the path may change depending on the server. You can also try leaving it blank and letting WordPress figure it out. Just empty the field and click save.

Does wordpress need to be installed on the server before moving the files/database across?
