Just in time for the holidays, some good old home movies from the '70s!
This segment is taken from two rides with some old Huskies and Suzukis at "The Res," a Forest-Service reservoir that was, at the time, open to all and extremely beautiful. Then it was sold to a true bastard, who proceeded to log the place and close it down as tight as a frog's ass. Go riding, camping, or even hiking there today and you can seriously be arrested for it. After all, you might damage the wasteland.
Obviously, you can't just upload 8mm film. This was played one Christmas Eve maybe ten years back and we set up the video camera to preserve the footage. That VHS tape was then transferred to DVD, and then I took the footage from the DVD to an AVI file using FRAPS. Simple, but effective. The narration is coming from my dad Paul, uncle Scott, and uncle John. To identify the speakers, Paul says "There's a Husky!" at the beginning, Scott makes a spring sound-effect for a Husky jump, and John's the other guy. :-)
