In my bug the window scrapers are starting to get pulled and sucked down whenever I open the window. I believe some of the clips may have broken. Would it be possible for me to just pop in some new clips if I drop the window out, or will I have to do more surgery?

well for the inner, just get a new seal, they already have the new clips on it. And for the later bugs they are already fastened to the seal. If you have an early bug, there is a wire that feeds thru the seal that clips into the door. Save that wire for the next seal. but in general you should be able to put in a new seal if you just drop the window out.

I have a 70 bug, Would the scraper be held on with clips or screws?
