I got this yesterday from an estate sale for $32, needed motors to go again, gave it torque and it finally built up speed and working good. 3-head, 3-motor belt drive capstan. A CLASSIC!!

  • and i used to be able to record and now not working

  • @aberdurant Are the record switches set to "on"?

  • CassetteMaster, what sort of standards or criteria did you use to adjust the bias? I have the manual, but I don't have any of the Teac-made tapes normally used in making adjustments? Thanks.

  • @TheHuysmansChannel All I did was try to make it sound as good as the source; I had no manual or test tape.

  • @vincedog3 Thank you. For the life of me I can't find the lubrication tubes, and everything inside machine looks original and pristine.

  • @ryfleman it looks like small straws sticking out of the motor. In board and out board. 2 straws per motor. Just a few drops. Don't use too much.
