I remember watching this Super Bowl live with my dad. My heart was pounding every second of the game from beginning to end. I don't think I've ever been so nervous in all my life when Atwater crushed Brooks and Hilliard in one hit with a 4th down coming up. Best football moment ever on that next play. John Mobley was my hero for a bit

This is rediculous. Atwater in his quest to punish the Green Bay receiver not only injured his teammate, but also HIMSELF. Take a look at the video. As Atwater was falling he loss consciousness for about a few second. He was out for the count, but regained consciousness.

@TheFirstWhiteboy My point was that in a position that laymen consider skinny and fast the player is actually quite strong...and you respond by saying basically the exact same thing.

Regardless, would you consider Atwater to be of the larger size of defensive players? Or would you say defensive lineman and all but the smallest linebackers are larger than him? When I have to explain my comment to this nuance it makes it seem pointless to say it anyways.

@VIKINGSGUY33 steve couldn't play in todays game.they changed the rule book because of the bernard pollard hit that put out brady.they changed the rules again because of a hit by ryan clark's hits. they throw a flag if the db even touches a receiver. now there's a strike zone for where you can hit a ball carrier. ridiculous.gimme the nfl pre 2005
