Brazil is already the world's leading producer of cane sugar, and as the demand for biofuels increases, the country has dedicated more land to agriculture.But a large portion of the biomass derived from sugar cane cultivation is not used in the ethanol production process - and burning the leftovers is harmful to the environment. Now, German and Brazilian researchers have developed a technology to recycle agricultural waste into plastic.
