See the video of the man in Canada who was arrested for "stealing fire" - he only lit his cigarette on the olympic torch and caused no harm to anyone, then the POLICE jumped on him and attacked him and arrested him, even though there was no lawful reason to arrest him - there was no injured party / no "corpus delicti" for them to arrest him.

I wonder what they are going to charge him for? - Theft of fire?

People just seem to watch the olympics to gamble their country's ego. Nobody cares about the sports - they just want to see their country "win" in front of other "countries". It's ridiculous.

No.. a sport referee is like a cop - more importantly like a cop that doesn't exist, but the state would like to you think that he does. I am not against playing a game or following rules.

It is the idea of following the labyrinth of rules that some unknown idiot designed.. mindlessly and without question. The similarities between the state's mode of operation and that of a football game are striking. I am only suspicious of spectator sports as a conditioning tool.
