I wouldn't want to see carbon taxes.. As the poor within our society will be the ones who really suffer from it.. While the 6 figure earning banksters/politicians keep flying around with their private jets and huge limousine's. One other thing I'd like to mention, replacing our fossil fuel based economy with something like solar energy or some of Nikolai Tesla's idea's doesn't seem that bad to me, but it should never be done through taxes..

My question is, if we make drastic changes in the way we treat pollution and in 100 years find out that warming was not our fault, so what? Is it really so terrible to be environmentally conscious that people will risk the future of this planet to avoid it?

There is evidence that does back up the correlation between CO2 and temperature increases, however there shouldn't be any public funds allocated to decreasing or trying to "Fix" our consumption of oil.

Expensive oil alone is a big enough incentive to use more fuel efficient vehicles.

If you want to make a case for being more efficient, ask for lower taxes so you can be your own little moral advocate.
