oh.thanks.ima get a wooden dowel at walmart tomorrow.two more questions.have you ever made a barrel that has the grooves so it can act like a screw like 101stairsoft devision?and the second question is did you have any trouble taking the barrel off the dowel cause i tried it with a marker and i had to pull carefully for 10 minuts

@victor222444 yes this barrel has rifling in it. ( I assumed thats what you meant with grooves )

and if you have trouble taking the barrel of the dowel try giving it some candle wax.

Nice rifle! I'm not seeking a tutorial, but I am curious, how did you know what all of the functioning components were supposed to look like? Did you have an actual Mauser on hand to take apart and inspect, or did you find blueprints somewhere? I want to try crafting a Gewehr 91 (Karabiner version of the Gew88), but I can't find any references to help me make the internal parts.
