  • Also, not sure who told you they are using the ART in iraq? The army issues leupolds on both the Sniper and DMR platforms, in combination with ACOGS. Many guys choose to buy something better, like Nightforce. USMC uses Schmidt & Bender, ACOGS, and some other things. ART is old technology that is somewhat fragile, it's not a big player these days.

  • @wyocowboy1984 There are numerous sources stating that the ART series Scopes are being used in Iraq and Afghanistan. I didn't imply it was the primary sight used but that it was still in the field after all these years. The main sights being used by US military are ACOG's, EOTech's and Aimpoint. The Schmidt & Bender 3-12 x 50 PMII LP is being used as a sniper scope and not a CQB sight.

  • sootch00,

I am very much interested in this optic, however, this video was not a "Review" by any stretch of definition.

This video was nothing more than an "Advertisement" which describes the features of this scope. You provided no information that is not available from the manufacturer's website.

Here's an idea: Mount this scope on both, an AR 15, and an M14 type rifle. Then put about five hundred rounds through each platform, at targets ranging from zero to six hundred meters.

  • @wanderingwoods Wow, you sure are opinionated for someone who has no videos uploaded on their channel. ... nor are you subscribed to my channel or on my friend list. Dude, the Scope became avaliable to the public the day I posted this video. Did you even know this scope existed before you saw this video? Relax. As I stated in my video, there's more coming.

  • Way overpriced for a chinese scope.

  • @IDLER223 Dood American workers do not have a god given right to have us by their crap.

  • Those BUIS on your old ACOG are not "co-witness" to anything... that's when you see the sights while looking through the scope.

  • I'm glad I watch the video, as there are so many price ranges in scopes and most inexpensive scopes are junk. We've always had to save up for Leupold, but the Leatherwood seems like a feasible choice without the dreadful expense.

    Much appreciated!

  • know of any nice scopes that arent?

  • my problem is its made in china

  • @IDLER223 Yeah, I cringed when I opened up the box my Millet DMS came in and saw "Made in China" on it. It's nice though. A slightly cheaper (and heavier) version of the Leatherwood.

  • 800 meters? yeah, right. What's the holdover at 800 for M855 ammo?

  • I recently found that the control knob for the illuminated reticle on my CMR had loosened and was wobbly. After taking it apart I found that I could fix the problem easily. If you have a similar problem you can take a look at the "Leatherwood CMR1424 Fix" video on my YouTube site to see how to repair it. Hope this may help.

    All the best.

  • Leatherwood raised the prices on this scope 50-75 dollars in the last few months.
