In this three part series on injury free running, Danny Abshire and Ian Adamson of Newton Running discuss injury free running techniques such as the 10% rule, periodization, and recovery time; biomachanics of running (do you pronate or supranate?); and natural running form.
The 10% rule is not validated by any study.

Everytime I run I get a sore soleus. And I get bruising on both inner legs. Why? I only run about 3miles each time about twice a week. How many days should you require for recovery? And also would it help to take a spin class or an elliptical to strengthen your leg muscles?

seriously great video. All great advice that a lot of people (including myself) overlook

@UBCBarefoot well if you hate the shoes that's your perogative, but your commentary isn't really relevant to this video as it hardly mentions the shoes at all and is almost purely advice on running form and injury prevention.

this is horrible. if you know the benefits of running barefoot, you should know that when you run that way you don't have to think about your form. That is the whole point of true minimalist shoes! that form should come naturally! these shoes do not let you do that.
