Performed at the Lincoln Center for Performing Arts on May 31, 2008 Renowned accordianist/composer Guy Klucevsek adapted the toy instrumental suite, Sweet Chinoiserie for Margaret Leng Tan from his Chinoiserie, a music-theater collaboration with Ping Chong & Company. Soundwise and visually, it is one of the most colorful works in her toy repertory, drawing on an arsenal of kitchen and toy percussion and other toy instruments such as the melodica and of course, the toy accordion. The title of the suite's third movement, The Mark of a Hero, is a nod to the brand name of her toy accordion.
