Welcome to the Official MeowMix Guide.

This is the first in a series of MeowMix Video Tutorials for editing and modifying Super Smash Brothers Brawl. Team MeowMix is a dedicated team to modifying brawl to look good so you can enjoy yourself.

Today's lesson covers CSP Creation, also known as Character Selection Portrait. The character selection screen has images of the characters at the bottom of the screen once you've chosen somebody.

We're going to teach you how to modify that image, making sure to have NO magenta borders around your images.

Before you begin, be sure you have measured up to the following:

-- Homebrew Channel Installed.
-- You have a .gct code sitting on your SD Card inside a folder named 'codes' that allows for SD file replacement. You can find that .gct as well as a tutorial here:

I'm having difficulty with Toon Link's indexed color. How many colors is he supposed to have? I copied each portrait's number exactly into its replacement and it said they were too big, then I reduced a few by as many as five or ten. Do you know the set color amount for Toon Link?

I use Riivolution, does the "remove the _en" apply it it too? (I mean to the common files and the files tha go into menu2 folder that are from common5) I have the latest XML files. I've read that putting the file sc_selmap in the SD card with using Riivolution will cause a game crash, is this true for the latest version?

I have a tga file (csp) for a texture hack (toon link) already, but i dont know:

1. how to name it

2. where to put the file on my sd card

3. do i have to create a new folder next tu "characters" and "stages"?

- if yes how to name it?

I have a pal wii and the hack replaces the fith costume of toon link!!!!
