Ruben Blades has got to be one of the greatest geniuses of our time! Because of his great music he got my attention. Because he has for decades printed all his lyrics in both Spanish & English, I learned to speak his language and lived in Salvador for 3 years. Because he is incredibly articulate and a gifted actor, he is a wonderful storyteller, reminding us what is right and just in families, in communities and countrires, and that we must respect the earth and indigenous peoples.
