Porsche 911 chain tensioner story

My 1968 engine came with sealed camshaft chain tensioners. These tensioners were designed by Porsche engine expert Hans Mezger and introduced for the 1968 model year. Here's their interesting story.

Herr Mezger is reading thorugh the final chapters at the moment. He has been delayed and our original publication schedule has been and gone! When I get the final manuscript from him, I will be able to confirm the publication, but at present all we can say is 'Summer 2010'.

Hello, I got a porsche 911 sc 3.0 1983 mod. The engine is making a metal scrape sound. Its coming from the engine and its worst at 1000 - 2000 rpm. Do you have any idea what is causing the sound?
