Wow! but really that's how fricken paranoid the post office makes you if you miss picking up a letter! I think the post office made this poor guy act this way!

@cmbatwnded im on prozac and in therapy. it really does make it easier. :) glad to hear u were able to overcome this obstacle i have heard it is possible

@diva4211 i have some OCD but it's gone now. all i did is trusted myself that i did what i had to do, and not do it over and over again !

thats great that he will be able to keep his job. i have ocd as well. im not a mail carrier but when i drop off mail i do the same thing. i do it because i am afraid it wont make it to that person or it will drop on the ground and i wont know it instead of going into the slot. so i have to do it so many times

What happens is you get a feeling something bad will happen. The only way to stop the bad thing from happening is to do something a certain number of times. Once you start doing the thing a certain number of times, the feeling something bad will happen starts to go away... till finally its gone.
