@gammoregan Apparently when you kill a puppy, shit goes out of control. But if it weren't for Tenenbaum's resistance and hesitation, It probably wouldn't have been such an issue. It's like you hear the joy of a happy young women, obviously she is happy. The sound makes you happy aswell, but then Suchong commands the words, as she refuses the player realizes that it's going to happen. All this in such a minor part of the story that the player could possibly miss. Amazing game.

Oh and to everyone that is claiming to hate Suchong for the death of a single puppy, grow a brain. Humans force cocks (male chickens), bulls, and dogs to fight each other all the time. They have also done this with cats, snakes, insects, and pretty much any animals they can get their hands on (including other humans). We also test medicine on animals which often ends in their deaths (even if they don't die they are usually killed to autopsy the body). All Suchong was doing was testing medicine.

@koen7b Were you paying any attention to the story? When the United States government tried to take Andrew Ryan's forest retreat from him and make it a National Park (Yes Ryan owned a whole forest), he burned the whole thing down. Of course Ryan would make a self destruct button just in case the people of Rapture tried to steal it from him (which is exactly what Fontaine is doing by using Jack to kill Ryan).

C`mon guys, you´re taking the point too far.
Sure it´s creepy, cool, tragic and whatever not, but it´s ENTERTAINMENT.
Humans are generally too sentimental, cowardly, sensetive and WAY too impatient to ever end up like in rapture.
We´re kinda stuck in the love-it-or-hate-it middle way,
Ryan went for artists and scientists only, Rapture was exclusively filled with the most fucked-up lunatics in the first place;)
Seriously, DON´T compare your own relatively sane morality to that in Bioshock.
